Mental Health Assessments

Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations by licensed clinicians to understand your clinical needs and build a personalized treatment plan. The essential first step toward the right care.

Our Service

The Foundation for Effective Treatment

The diagnostic assessment is a tool used by licensed clinicians of 180 Community Wellness Centers to help determine the clinical needs of individuals seeking services. The assessment is conducted in an interview format and the information gathered is used to develop a treatment plan through a variety of services to assist individuals with regaining the ability to function optimally.

Think of the assessment as your roadmap. Before we can recommend the right combination of services — whether that's talk therapy, Basic Skills Training, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, or another approach — we need to understand your unique situation, history, and goals.

Assessments are available in-person at our North Las Vegas office for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Is an Assessment Right for You?

Who Should Get a Mental Health Assessment?

A diagnostic assessment is recommended as the first step for anyone seeking mental health services. It's particularly important if you are:

  • Starting mental health services for the first time
  • Experiencing anxiety, depression, or mood changes
  • Dealing with trauma, grief, or significant loss
  • Facing relationship or family challenges
  • Noticing behavioral changes in yourself or your child
  • Returning to services after a gap in treatment
  • Seeking a clearer understanding of your clinical needs
  • Looking for guidance on the best type of therapy or support

The assessment helps ensure you're connected to the services that will have the most impact — whether that's individual therapy, family counseling, BST, PSR, or a combination.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A mental health assessment is a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation conducted by a licensed clinician to determine an individual's clinical needs. At 180 Community Wellness Centers, the assessment is conducted in an interview format and the information gathered is used to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, Basic Skills Training, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, or other services.
A mental health assessment is recommended for anyone experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychological difficulties, or for anyone beginning mental health services for the first time. It's also appropriate for individuals returning to services after a gap, or anyone seeking clarity about their needs. The assessment ensures you receive the right combination of services for your situation.
During the assessment, a licensed clinician conducts a structured clinical interview covering your current concerns, personal and family history, symptoms, daily functioning, and goals. The clinician uses this information to identify clinical needs, form a diagnosis when appropriate, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your situation.
Most diagnostic assessments take approximately 60 to 90 minutes, though this can vary depending on the complexity of the individual's needs. Our goal is to gather enough information to develop an accurate, thorough understanding of your clinical needs without rushing the process.
Based on your assessment results, your treatment plan may include individual, couples, family, or group therapy, Basic Skills Training (BST), Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), autism testing (ADOS), or referrals to outside specialists. Your clinician will explain all recommended services and help you take the next step.
You can schedule an assessment by calling (702) 675-6314, emailing admins@180cwc.com, or submitting a request through our online contact form. Our team will respond within 24 hours and walk you through the intake process.
